Exceptional ultra HD pictures (4K) of the sun taken by Nasa’s space-based telescope, the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) have been released.
The telescope took an ultra HD pictures of our sun five times in one minute, in ten wavelengths of invisible UV light, with each wavelength highlighting a different temperature and assigned a colour.
The images were put together and show many active regions of the sun, which are the source of solar storms.
Nasa has been speeded up the original footage and has released this glorious 30 minutes of Ultra HD video
