Poppy-Rae is a baby girl who was born at Pilgrim Hospital, Lincolnshire, in November last year (she’s now 12 week old) with a red heart-shaped birthmark formed in the middle of her forehead.
Poppy’s mother, Jade Sparham, has realized that her little newborn was conceived on valentine’s day.
One week later, Jade and father Liam Scaife were worried about the distinctive red mark on the forehead of their first child, they took her to the doctor who reassures them that it was simply a pressure mark.
Jade said “When I first noticed the mark on Poppy-Rae’s forehead turn bright red, I was a little concerned because I didn’t know what it meant… But we were relieved to find out that the birthmark didn’t pose any health problems for her”.
Now her parents hope the pink coloured mark never disappears, “… It’s a part of her, and it makes her so unique.’
